Catherine Marshall

Catherine Marshall was born in Yorkshire, England. Her mother was a Geordie from Northumberland and her father was a Yorkshireman from a long line of farmers. With her family she migrated to Australia in 1960. A biomedical scientist by profession, she is now retired and lives in Tasmania, dividing her time between writing, researching her family tree and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her books have been inspired by her family history and the many stories passed down by her parents.
