Ann Costlow is the founder and owner of Sofi’s Crepes which has multiple locations throughout Maryland. Ann had been a Stockbroker for 16 years and took a 3 month leave of absence to be a galley cook on a tall ship, The Pride of Baltimore II. When she returned, there was no going back to corporate life, so she ventured out to open something on her own. She had spent some time and Paris and decided that crepes would be her concept. Delicious and not that complicated, so that is where it all began. She named it Sofi’s after her loyal pup of 11 years. Ann studied the art of crepes by visiting creperies all over Brittany and Paris. She took classes at La Cordon Blue cooking school in Paris. Sofi’s is now franchised with multiple locations throughout Maryland. When asked if she ever misses Finance, she says she has never looked back.
