Olivia Ellis is a creativity-driven pianist, professor, and presenter. She enjoys working with beginner to advanced piano students and is a certified Suzuki teacher. She also teaches collegiate piano, group piano, and chamber music and directs an innovative piano ensemble group that performs original concerts. When she is not teaching, she loves to perform solo and chamber literature and has been a member of the Chiara Piano Duo since 2018.
Olivia holds a Doctor of Music Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma as well as Piano Performance degrees from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and Carson-Newman University. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music through the Music Teachers National Association and has served on MTNA’s Certification Board as the Southern Division Commissioner.
Olivia has been a presenter for the Music Teachers National Association conference, Tennessee Music Teachers Association conference, National Conference for Keyboard Pedagogy, the Group Piano and Piano Pedagogy Conference, and other music events. She has also been a clinician for master classes and university guest lectures and taught on the faculty for the East/West International Piano Festival.
