Lawson W Magruder III

Lawson W. Magruder III Lieutenant General, US Army Retired Founder and President of LWM III Consulting LLC, Lawson has been coaching professionals, mentoring leaders and building highly effective teams for more than four decades. He led soldiers in combat in Vietnam and Somalia and as a general officer he commanded the Joint Readiness Training Center and Ft Polk, US Army South in Panama, and the historic 10th Mountain Division. Retiring as a Lieutenant General after 32 years of service, he transitioned into the corporate and academic cultures building enduring research partnerships in the homeland security arena, publicly sharing his leadership journey at seminars and conferences, serving as an executive coach for leaders in the federal and private sectors, and a senior mentor for Army leaders and units. Over the past sixteen years, his company has helped over 15,000 leaders in the public and private sectors become more authentic leaders experiencing true growth in their lives. Among his numerous awards, he is a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment Hall of Fame, the US Army Ranger Hall of Fame, the US Army ROTC Hall of Fame, and is a Distinguished Alumnus of the US Army War College. He has been married to Gloria for over 52 years and they are blessed to have three children and four grandchildren.
