Faye Stevens was born and raised in Chicago. She attended Chicago Public Schools for elementary and high school. As a young girl, Faye always knew that she wanted to become a teacher, she even read to the younger girls in her neighborhood right on her parent's front porch. Later in life, after working as a teacher’s assistant for a couple of years, she realized that she wanted to lead and guide her own students so she enrolled into Northeastern Illinois University where she received her Bachelors’ Degree in Physical Education/ Health and her Masters degree in Literary Education. This sparked her passion to teach people of all ages the importance of living a holistically fit life taking into consideration their physical, intellectual, emotional and social behaviors towards being healthy. She now teaches at a high school instructing Freshmen students on creating healthy relationships along with providing information on nutrition, sexual education, decision making and sports. She also loves coaching Cheerleading in her spare time. Faye leads a female empowerment program, Girls With A Vision where she educates female leaders on providing service to others as well as providing them with tools that will allow them to be productive and healthy citizens through team building, sports, and service. Faye Stevens believes that educating others on the benefits of healthier living is the key to her purpose in life. As a believer in Christ, she continues her purpose by giving back to others as often as possible.
