Bess Kercher

关于作者

Bess Kercher once won a writing contest as a blogger for skirt!.com and her prize was a copy of the book MY FORMERLY HOT LIFE, which seemed cruelly apropos but still made her day – because nothing beats putting yourself out there and then feeling like someone gets you. These days, her cozy lukewarm life is often unremarkable, but she has crossed paths with heartbreak on occasion. Her debut novel NOW AND AT THE HOUR was penned in an effort to capture the beautiful and enduring things that transcend the human condition. Mom to two boys, and eternally inspired by hopeful middle grade fiction, she crafted a poignant yet optimistic upper MG story told by 12 year old skateboarder and Catholic school kid Albert Davidson. Bess indulged her love of stories at Davidson College, where she majored in English and dabbled in creative writing. She later graduated with an M.A. in organizational communication from Queens University of Charlotte and began freelance writing shortly thereafter, contributing to blogging platforms, local publications, and Huffington Post. She wrote for charlotteobserver.com from 2013-2017 on their MomsCharlotte platform, and is an enthusiastic and grateful participant in the vibrant writing community in Charlotte, and North Carolina. She is a founding member of the writing collective Writing Group, Ink. For more information about NOW AND AT THE HOUR, please visit www.besskercher.com. photo credits: Ginger Wagoner, Photosynthesis
