A veteran of the United States Air Force,
David served over ten years on active duty
before transitioning back to civilian life.
He served multiple tours in Afghanistan,
Africa, and the Middle East as a
communications specialist working with
drones, portable manpack radios, and
military vehicles
While on active duty, he also volunteered
at a military base hospital, something that
seemed like a good thing to do at the time.
The devastating injuries he witnessed,
however, on young, incoming soldiers left
an indelible, traumatic mark on David.
After his service, David found himself lost
in a sea of VA-prescribed anti-depressants.
Plagued with suicidal thoughts, he found
redemption through exploratory use of
psilocybin mushrooms to combat the
anxiety, depression and PTSD that resulted
from his military service.
He neither condones nor advocates illegal
use of psychedelic natural medicines. He
does, however, emphatically support the
research and legalization of these naturally
occurring ingredients, and advocates their
integration into a healthy, holistic, loving,
affirming, and supportive lifestyle with
friends and family,
Most of all, David wants his readers to
recognize humanity’s ancient, symbiotic
relationship with our fungal allies.
