My name is Aiden, and I am the author of ‘Banner of the Broken Orc.’ A Dark Epic Fantasy Adventure, set in a world of medieval age technology, Orcs, Elves, Ogres, Goblins and a whole bunch of evil monsters. I grew up on a council estate in Birmingham and never really settled into the school environment. I misbehaved, skipped class, and just generally found trouble wherever I could. At fifteen, I left school before sitting any exams and started working in whichever job I could find. I worked in construction, warehouses and factories. I fell in with the wrong crowds and left home at the same age I left school. I always enjoyed reading, but when I was handed a copy of The Magician by Raymond E Feist, I was instantly hooked on how fantasy novels can capture and immerse the reader in a completely fictitious world. At around the age of twenty, I started working on a steadier basis, mainly on the production line of automotive plants. I was bored. I mean mind-numbing tedium all day every day. I developed ideas, characters and worlds of my own, mainly to help pass the time. I moved to the Netherlands in 2017 where I met my wife. With her support and encouragement, I finally finished my first novel and published on 08-11-2020. I still live in the Netherlands, and I still work on the production line of a factory where I spend my time thinking of my next book and submersing myself in the characters.
