Merry Frons

Dr. Merry Frons is a psychotherapist in private practice in New York. She has specialized in treating individual and couples with relationship and sexuality issues for over 30 years. She received advanced training in psychotherapy from New York University’s Post Doctoral Institute and her MSW and PhD from New York University and the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists.

Dr. Frons is certified by AASECT, the American Association of Sex Therapists, Educators, Counselors and Therapists and an active member of the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research and the National Association of Social Workers.

She is trained in Ericksonian hypnosis and Imago relationship therapy. She presents workshops and trainings on relationships, healthy sexuality, addictions including sex addiction and chemical dependency.

She is the founder and clinical director of Renew Counseling in New York City which specializes in treating individuals and couples with a range of relational issues and offers support groups for individuals working with these challenges.
