Jason E. Weber

关于作者

Jason E. Weber is a multi-disciplinary artist, technician, and scholar. As an artist, he has created sound, lighting, and projection designs for theatres in New York, Chicago, Boston, and Louisville including Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Company One, Gloucester Stage Company, EVET Arts, and Kentucky Shakespeare. In addition to this theatrical work, Jason explores how computers can be used to generate art and bridge the gap between artist and audience through interactive creations. As a technician, Jason has served as Master Electrician on over 90 professional productions, many of which were world premieres. He has been the Lighting Supervisor at the Actors Theatre of Louisville and the Lighting and Sound Supervisor at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre. Finally, Jason is a devoted scholar studying collaborative relationships and modalities. His forthcoming book, The Lighting Supervisor's Toolkit, will explore the engineer-architect relationship that Theatrical Master Electrcians have with Lighting Designers as well as provide concrete guidance for early-career Theatrical Master Electricians as they work to improve their skills. Jason has presented on panels at the Mid-America Theatre Conference, USITT Conference, and the Humana Festival of New American Plays.
