Alex Bezzerides is a professor of biology at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho where he teaches a wide range of classes from Human Anatomy and Physiology to Entomology. He earned degrees from Colorado State University and Cornell University and taught at a small college in Wisconsin for a few years before moving back west. He has published a number of scientific articles about the chemical ecology of insects. These days, he uses his understanding of evolution and anatomy to explain, in a fun and approachable way, why the human body works the way it does. "Evolution Gone Wrong: The Curious Reasons Why Our Bodies Work (Or Don't)" is his first book.
