Christine Sciortino

Christine Sciortino is an artist, educator, and visual storyteller currently based in Chicago. A graduate of New York University, Christine has always been passionate about storytelling and has been fortunate to use makeup as a way to do this since 2007. Her recent projects as a makeup artist include Come As You Are, Captive State, Proven Innocent (Fox), and Fargo (FX). Her work can be viewed at www.christinesciortino.com In 2015, Christine created the Cinema Makeup curriculum in the school of Cinema and Television Arts at Columbia College Chicago which was the inspiration for her book Makeup Artistry for Film and Television; Your Tools for Success On-Set and Behind-the-Scenes. As a member of the IATSE Local #476 Studio Mechanics Union, she designed and leads the local’s first Sexual Harassment training program, making film sets safer spaces. In her free time Christine enjoys spending time in nature, leading women's circles, and providing Reiki healing sessions for loved ones.
