Fina Tedesco and Pamela Pfertsh met through a mutual friend in 2011. Fina mentioned she was an illustrator and artist and wanted to illustrate children’s books. Pam immediately shared that she was a children’s author and poet. This common passion created an amazing partnership and beautiful friendship, thus helping to realize both of their dreams. Fina has been drawing since the young age of six because it is what she loves to do. She studied at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and specializes in children’s book illustrations and visual arts while dabbling in unique commission pieces. Illustrating children’s books is not just a passion for Fina, but something she considers to be a way of life. She lives in Denver, Colorado and is the mother of two young children. There’s never a dull moment in her household, yet she feels truly blessed with the illustration work mixed among raising her beautiful kids. Pamela is a poet and children’s writer who lives in the mountains west of Denver, Colorado with her husband and two dogs. One is a 200 pound English Mastiff and the other, a little bitty Welsh Corgi. They have five children and ten grandchildren and enjoy hosting what they call “Camp Grandma” every other month, where all the grandkids come up to stay for the weekend and get to go hiking, play games and play outside in the woods. Pamela is a member of the International Society of Poets, is published in several poetry anthologies and attended the Institute of Children’s Literature.
