Melanie Salas is the proud owner of Polka Dot Zebra Publishing Co., "Where anything is possible." With a degree in elementary reading, she believes there is something simply magical about the combination of illustrations and the written word. Throughout her years as an educator, she had the honor of watching children develop a love for reading by finding the right book to connect with. Now, as a full-time writer, creator, and serial entrepreneur who is always up for a new creative venture, Melanie continues to bring stories to life that captivate and inspire.

Melanie’s stories are more than just books; they are heartwarming traditions ready to be started and passed down for generations to come. She feels blessed to share her passion for family with others and hopes that a little bit of that magic will bless your family as well.

Melanie lives in New Braunfels, Texas, with her two teen daughters, Sadie and Sydnie, her husband Chad, and their two labradoodles, Gracie and Indie. She loves to hike, fish, and boat, and her most special place on earth is her lake house in Hideaway, Texas.
