Judith Yates

Judith has worked for over thirty years as a professional artist. During this time she has displayed her artwork in a range of solo and mixed exhibitions and sold her paintings both at home and abroad. She is a prolific painter! She works from her busy studio in Coventry using a variety of techniques and media to recreate the sensual pleasures of landscape and the coastline. Her artwork can be purchased through her website, online and through a number of Arts Fairs including the annual Warwickshire Open Studios, where she opens her studio to the general public. Judith also provides private tuition and workshops and has recently led a number of art holidays in the Dordogne. She is well known for her talks and practical demonstrations imparting a breadth of knowledge about traditional and contemporary painting delivered with energy and good humour. In her book Dynamic Seascapes she encourages an experimental approach and describes dozens of innovative techniques using acrylics, watercolour and other water media to capture the majesty, beauty and strength of the sea and to produce works full of power, dynamism and atmosphere.
