Dr. Harris is a tenured Professor of Surgery at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo. She is the program director for the 5 + 2 fellowship and the 0 + 5 residency. She led the Division Vascular Surgery for 2 decades. She is nationally and internationally known for her work in vascular education, having served on the ACGME surgery review committee, the Vascular Surgery Milestone Project and as President of the APDVS. She is past president of the EVS and has significant SVS leadership as well. She has served on multiple editorial boards, authored numerous papers and book chapters. Her clinical interests include peripheral arterial disease, venous occlusive disease, dialysis access, thoracic outlet syndrome and aneurysmal disease. She has received numerous awards, including Top Doctor in Buffalo for several years running. She has trained and mentored medical students, surgery residents, vascular surgery residents and vascular fellows for 25 years.
