Shelley Kommers is a fine artist, illustrator and designer. Her artwork is collage-based and layered, with a joyful, whimsical quality. Shelley’s artwork has been shown in galleries and museums throughout the US, and has been featured in numerous books and magazines; her clients and licensing partners include Pottery Barn Teen, Spirituality & Health Magazine, Kimpton Hotels, and Oopsy Daisy, with private collections held in the US, Australia, and Canada.
When Shelley isn’t working with paint and paper, she loves her time as an arts educator, sharing her creativity with people of all ages. Her obsession with polymer clay began when she was asked to teach a clay class the following day, and found herself up all night giddily inventing projects to teach. Shelley has taught students in public and private schools, online, and in art centers and private studios.
Shelley lives in Los Angeles with her family, and spends her extra time birdwatching in her garden.
