Dr. Don E. Descy is a noted presenter, traveler and explorer who has presented over 500 times in person in such places as Japan, Canada, the UK, France, China, and the United States, along with scores of virtual presentations around the world. He is a celebrated author who has written 3 books and who co-authored with Richard C. Forcier The Computer as an Educational Tool: Productivity and Problem Solving, a popular textbook that went through 5 editions for Prentice Hall. He also wrote Behind the Bullet Points: The Surprising Secrets of Powerful Presentations. This book is currently in use in many colleges and universities in the US and several foreign countries and will soon be available in Farsi (Persian) for its 62 million native speakers and 50 million second-language speakers in the Middle East. Don first bought a place in North Truro in 1967. Since he retired in 2008 he has spent much of his time exploring little-known locations on Cape Cod. This led him to write the series Cape Cod’s Secret Spaces & Mysterious Places: A Guide to Little Known Historical, Interesting and Sometimes Quirky Sites and Places and Cape Cod’s Secret Spaces & Mysterious Places #2: A Guide to Little Known Historical, Interesting and Sometimes Quirky Sites and Places. He currently lives near the bay in North Truro and on a lake in the foothills of South Carolina with his wife and two adopted cats, Sid and Dubbie.
