Everything we do at Vitamix has a purpose. My great-grandfather started our company nearly 100 years ago. One of his objectives was to help people understand the power of whole foods. Times have changed, but that’s still the heart of what we do. Wholesome living isn’t just a trend for our family, or our company. It’s who we are. That’s why I’m so passionate about ensuring that every choice we make, every process we institute, every product we create, helps us achieve our mission: to create relationships for life by designing, developing and producing the world’s best performing and most reliable blending solutions. To accomplish this, I focus on: • Envision and create a brand with our beloved fans, employees, suppliers, vendors, communities and the growing generations of the founding family. • Work with our amazing leaders to ensure alignment so that everything we do keeps us on the path toward our purpose and mission. • Foster a thriving culture, one that is authentic and values-driven, and inspires me, my fellow Vitamix employees, and customers – to be the best we can be. Each time I step out of my office, I step into my family’s history. I strive to embrace my great-grandfather’s passion and values to align with our purpose: to liberate and nourish the zest for life. Embracing every moment is important to me outside the office as well. I try to take time to appreciate each day’s beauty, even if it’s as simple an act as opening the windows and breathing in the fresh air, or sharing a pot of tea. Live with purpose and purposefully live.
