Paulina Lipiec is a Polish language teacher, a podcaster and the founder of Polski Daily - a popular online spot for Polish language learners. Her adventure with teaching Polish started in 2013in Cracow but it kicked off in 2016 when she moved to Cairo, Egypt and quickly realized she needs to do something more creative and satisfying than eating koshari and complaining about the heat. So she started recording Polski Daily podcast and Polski Daily Stories and Talks podcast. As a vivid reader herself and not finding books in simple Polish for her students, she started writing short-stories and publishing them as podcast episodes in 2018. Students from all over the world wrote e-mails saying the stories helped them to stay motivated, broad their vocabulary and get used to Polish syntax and grammar in use. The readers also said that these short-stories were a great way to enjoy learning Polish and a perfect break from solving regular exercises. Paulina now has around 40 short-stories recorded and published on her website and plans to publish the longer ones as e-books so more students can have an easy read to keep themself on the track. Currently, she lives in Leipzig, Germany with her Egyptian husband, makes pierogi, writes stories and tries to stay sane in the pandemic times.
