Julie has worked in many industries: from advertising to travel, education to public relations. She dabbles in painting and photography, writes inspirational verse and is a prolific reader. Julie grew up in Melbourne before making a sea-change to the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. With her partner, she owns an art and homewares store (Hearts and Minds Art), so can recount first-hand the challenges and rewards of the world of retail. Her contemporary fiction novels focus on mature women who are faced with life changing choices, with emotions, family and location all playing important roles. Her stories are warm, humorous and inclusive. That Summer in Nautilus Cove is loosely set in Julie's hometown of Noosa, Queensland. Her second book, HERE-After is set in Melbourne, Victoria. Yes, there's a ghost but it's not a paranormal story. Her 2024 contemporary fiction release, Full Circle, continues the premise of later-life changes and opportunity. Julie's inspirational verse is gaining followers internationally with inclusion of her poem The Last Day of Summer in the Poetry Bestseller, Soulful Poems. Her own collection is via SEASONS. This collection is to nurture inspiration, reflection and joy.
