Dr. Scott D. Churchill is professor of psychology at the University of Dallas and has spent his career teaching existential phenomenology as applied to qualitative research methodology, with side interests in psychoanalysis, cinema studies, ethology, and inter-species gestural communication. Dr. Churchill has achieved Fellow status in the American Psychological Association and has served as editor of its division 32 journal The Humanistic Psychologist for almost two decades. Locally he is active in the film community as a television critic and film discussant. A graduate of both Bucknell and Duquesne universities, Churchill currently teaches classes in Phenomenological Research, Environmental Psychology & Ecocinema Studies, and Tropical Ecology & Ecopsychology.
