Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Alicia Carbo-Guha calls Toronto home. She is an author and illustrator of children’s books, a marketer, a graphic designer, and a proud “iaia” of three grandchildren. Her “BUKU” and “Abracadabra” series, published in Catalan under a pen name in 1994 and 1995, gained media attention. Buku i la Natura (Buku and Nature) was endorsed on Barcelona´s TV3 as one of the five best books for children that year. English and Spanish translations followed shortly after.
Based on Buku and Nature, Alicia´s new release Saving Nature takes children on a thrilling adventure. In a magical world, they discover that Earth is hurting. They learn why protecting nature and the environment is critical for their own future and what they can do to help protect it.
Alicia loves hiking, traveling, art, and technology. She can be found online at: www.aliciacarboguha.com.
