Elyakim Kislev

Elyakim Kislev holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Columbia University and three master's degrees in counseling, sociology, and public policy. His first book, Happy Singlehood: The Rising Acceptance and Celebration of Solo Living (2019), has been translated into seven languages and was featured on CNN, BBC World News, and The Washington Post, among many others. His second book is Relationship 5.0: How AI, VR, and Robots Will Reshape Our Emotional Lives (2022). This book was published by Oxford University Press, and was selected to be the lead title of Oxford's 2021/2022 Science category. Relationship 5.0 is currently translated into six languages and was featured in the New Yorker and Wall Street Journal, among others. Kislev currently heads the Honors Program in the School of Public Policy at the Hebrew University and is a regular contributor to Psychology Today, where his articles have garnered hundreds of thousands of reads and are cited frequently. Following the success of his writings on singles, Kislev has developed a unique approach to empowering singles and begun counseling individuals and groups. He tweets @ElyakimKislev.
