Jinica Dauphin is a Haitian American elementary school teacher turned author who resides in Central Florida. She is the author of Haitian Flag Day Fleurina’s Way and is currently working on some new titles as well. As a young child she loved reading and from time to time would write her own fun little stories. Throughout her life she always enjoyed working in education. As a mother, she wanted to make sure that her children learned about cultures from all around the world including their Haitian heritage. She found it difficulty in finding books about Haitian culture for young children, so she decided that she would create her own.
