Simon Yu, MD combines internal medicine with integrative medicine at Prevention and Healing, Inc., in St. Louis, MO; see his website www.preventionandhealing.com for info and articles. As an HMO regional medical director, he saw the limits of a medication-management approach to patients with complex chronic illness. He studied integrative and biological medicine, took 300 hours of medical acupuncture training, and researched dental, fungal and parasite problems. Dr. Yu lectures in the US and abroad. He offers Acupuncture Meridian Assessment (AMA) Training to help detect problems for doctors and dentists. He has an MD from the University Of Missouri School Of Medicine, an MS in Immunology, is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a member of American College of Physicians, and is on the board of the International College of Integrative Medicine. He served as a medical officer in the U.S. Army Reserve for 25 years, retiring as a full colonel, adding to his experience.
