Mary Wellesley

Mary Wellesley studied English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford before moving to University College London to pursue doctoral research. She worked in the Department of Ancient, Medieval and Early Modern Manuscripts at the British Library before becoming a British Library Research Affiliate. She continues to teach courses on medieval language and literature on the library's adult learning programme. Her work appears regularly in the London Review of Books, the New York Review of Books, the Times Literary Supplement, the Guardian, the Telegraph and the Sunday Times.
