Natalie Vecchione is an FASD parent advocate, homeschooler, podcast producer, podcast host, but most importantly….she is a mom! Natalie and her husband, John, grew their family through domestic adoption and they are the proud parents of a son and daughter. Prior to becoming a full-time homeschool mom, Natalie was a recreation and music therapist. Natalie received her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from East Carolina University and her Masters of Therapeutic Recreation and Recreation Management from Florida International University. Natalie has been a Music Therapist-Board Certified for the past 25 years. Natalie went from a career reinvention to a answering a calling as the result of their family’s unique journey with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). She has been a homeschool mom for over seven years. Natalie began advocating for FASD by being a FASD parent advocate, special needs homeschool parent mentor and peer support mentor. Natalie is certified in Mental Health First Aid and she has participated in several trainings about FASD. In 2019, she was honored to be chosen as one of fifty parents in the state of North Carolina to participate in the first ECAC Parent Leadership Summit. In 2020, Natalie and John co-founded FASD Hope. Natalie produces and hosts the FASD Hope podcast series. FASD Hope is a podcast, website and resource place- the mission of FASD Hope is to provide awareness, information and inspiration for people whose lives have been touched by FASD.
