Emily M. Owens is an Atlanta-based editor, writer, and book designer. (Yes, she knows there was a TV show called "Emily Owens, M.D.")
Currently Managing Editor of d'Aulnoy Editions and Senior Editor of How2Conquer, she is also the founder and editor of Palm-Sized Press, an indie publisher and online flash fiction community; has previously been part of Mslexia, a UK-based women’s writing magazine; and edited various literary magazines over the years. Emily writes creatively as E.M. Killaley, and her work has appeared in places such as Toho Journal, Papaya Press, Alliterati, and We Wrote a Book: An Anthology of Stories. Emily was awarded a New Fiction Bursary from the prestigious Northern Writers’ Awards for her novel-in-progress.
Although originally from Atlanta, Emily called the UK home for nearly seven years, and is always a little bit homesick for the Toon. When she’s not geeking out over a good font or InDesign file, she enjoys nerdy TV shows and bad disaster movies.
