Dr. Katherine E.A. Korkidis, known as Dr. K, has led a distinguished career that bridges the realms of science, academia, and literature. With a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry complemented by dual Master's degrees in Chemical Physics and Physical Chemistry, Dr. Korkidis initially embarked on a vibrant career in industry. Her scholarly background enabled her to engage in original research while her acumen in business was honed with an MBA in International Business and Marketing. Her career took her across various international borders, allowing her to teach, develop new technologies, and travel extensively through the US, Canada, Europe, Russia, and the Far East. This period not only enriched her professional life but also deepened her appreciation for cultural diversity and the power of education. Despite her success in the scientific community, Dr. Korkidis found her true calling in the art of teaching and writing, which led her back to academia. Choosing historical fiction as her primary genre, she penned her debut novel, "Josette," which was released in 2021. Since then, Dr. Korkidis has been prolific, authoring eight books across various genres including Contemporary Sweet Romance, an Anthology of Short Stories, Historical Fiction, and Literary Fiction. Her literary contributions have not gone unnoticed. "The KEAK Anthology," a collection of her short stories, has garnered four prestigious awards in 2023 for literary fiction and fiction anthologies and a Gold Award in 2024. Furthermore, her "Story of Josette and Daniel Trilogy" received the Literary Titan Gold Award in 2024, affirming her prowess as a storyteller. Expanding her repertoire, Dr. Korkidis recently launched a new project aimed at readers aged 8-12, titled 'Dr. K’s Portal Through Time.'
