Daniel M. Blumberg, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has spent more than three decades providing all facets of clinical and consulting psychological services to numerous local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. He is the director of The POWER Project (policepowerproject.org). In addition to his expertise in workplace stress prevention and trauma recovery, Dr. Blumberg is an authority on the selection, training, and clinical supervision of undercover operatives. His research interests include police integrity, the moral risks of policing, and programs to improve relations between the police and the community. Dr. Blumberg received his doctorate from Clark University in Worcester, MA and completed his APA-approved pre-doctoral internship at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. After a post-doctoral internship with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Dr. Blumberg was hired as a staff psychologist with the San Diego Police Department. Dr. Blumberg has given over 100 presentations at national and international conferences and has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
