Her journalism has appeared in Vulture/New York Magazine, the New York Times, Mother Jones, and numerous other publications. She is the author of BASEBALL'S LEADING LADY: EFFA MANLEY AND THE RISE AND FALL OF THE NEGRO LEAGUES and WE ARE FAMILY, a middle grade novel written in collaboration with NBA icon LeBron James.
