Jessica Flounder has more than 15 years of experience specializing in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) for mental health trauma. With a large percent of the population worldwide that mental health trauma affects, it’s been recorded that 61% of men and 51% of women report at least one traumatic event in their lifetimes. Jessica has had her own share of mental health trauma and desperately searched for answers to heal. She grew up with a mentally abusive family who would always shame her, put her down, and never let her explore anything she wanted to explore by making it wrong. This upbringing left Jessica to spend many years dealing with anger, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Through her in-depth research for desperate help and freedom to break free from the detrimental symptoms has led her into learning a valuable and proven system of strategies to cope and heal emotional triggers stemming from trauma. Jessica Flounder is the author of the “Essential CBT Skills & Practices” series of workbooks. She wishes to provide gained knowledge, practical strategies, and simple exercises with readers to help them overcome similar experiences. Her goal is to guide the readers through self-help techniques to address the trauma that is affecting multiple areas of life. She leads them: Into understanding and knowing they aren’t alone; Into identifying root causes of specific symptoms; Into a scientifically proven system to take back control of their lives; Into achieving a sense of freedom, increased confidence, and self-worth.
