George Gimenes

Hi! My name is George Gimenes. I am a poet, troubadour and cordelist, graduated in Electrical Engineering from Unicamp, member of the International Academy of Brazilian Literature (AILB) and of the Italian Academic Nucleus of Sciences, Letters and Arts (NAISLA). In addition to Cordel Literature, I am fascinated by children's books. In my adventures through poetry, I created the poetic style “Quadra Quadrada“ (Square Quatrain) – a synthetic poem of four verses of four poetic syllables and a single rhyme. Born in Itu, São Paulo state, Brazil, my wife and I live in Canada, proud of our three children and many grandchildren.
