If you ask Kimberlee Herman to name the greatest restaurant in American history the answer would be simple. The Parlor in Kalona, Iowa. Never heard of it? That's the restaurant her mom used to own in the '80's when Kimberlee was a teen (sadly, it no longer exists). She even worked there in high school. Growing up in a small town taught her the importance of community and serving others. After she received her BA at the University of Iowa (go Hawks!) she couldn't shake the desire to directly help others. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona she went on to obtain her Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University and became a mental health therapist. From there she became ordained and a faith-based counselor. Kimberlee currently has her own Christian Counseling practice, Redeemed Hope, in Phoenix, Arizona. Her first book, Wise Parenting - Guidelines From The Book of Proverbs, was published in 2009. She loves Hallmark Christmas movies and says her three fondest memories are her wedding day, the birth of her daughter, and eating the roast beef sandwiches at the Parlor.
