At the age of 19, he was incarcerated and eventually sentenced to 50 years for his first time in trouble with the law. He has spent his time learning from his mistakes as well as the mistakes of others. Poetic has designed and presented program proposals for both a first-time offender program as well as a program for the establishment of Debate Teams in correctional institutions. He is devoted to proving he no longer deserves to be in prison. Poetic has a passion for writing and for children. His message to the YOUth is, “YOU’re never too young to do great things” and “Trouble is easy to get into and hard to get out of”. Upon release, Poetic plans to establish YOUth programs in the community that teaches YOUth Knowledge of Self and Character Building to deter them from traveling down the wrong road. Poetic wants ALL YOUth to understand their destiny is in their own hands and the YOUth truly have the power to achieve the success they envision.
