R.M. Ruiz

Ms. Ruiz is a born again follower of Jesus Christ. She is a former accountant who was more than happy to step away from counting beans when God called her to write Christian fiction for middle graders. She lives in California with her husband, son, and a stray cat who replaced their beloved cat Bella.

She is a mother of three, a grandmother of one, and a godmother of two. When she’s not writing, or reading, she’s playing with her grandson or baking cakes for her numerous family members. Her favorite cakes to make are character fondant cakes for children—everything from Disney to Superheroes to Star Wars. She once dreamed of opening a cake shop, but God reminded her of her childhood dream to write. So instead of baking cakes for kids, she gets to tell them about Jesus in her books.

She loves reading middle grade books and classics. Her favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Roald Dahl, Madeleine L’Engle, Gordan Korman, and the Bronte sisters.

She hopes that The Chosen Kids Saga will inspire kids all over the world to find their identity in Christ and answer their calling from God. Follow Ms. Ruiz to stay up to date on the Chosen Kids book releases.
