Maris D. Hawkins

Maris Hawkins currently teaches both elementary and middle school students at Capitol Hill Day School in Washington, DC. She blogs frequently about what is working in her own classroom. She is also the co-author of the book, Common Ground, Second Language Acquisition Goes to the Classroom. Maris loves planning EdCampCIVa. Finally, she helps out with the podcast, We Teach Languages. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with friends and her husband, son and daughter.
