Wolfgang Bernhardt

Wolfgang Bernhardt was born in Germany in the middle of the Second World War. In 1953 his family emigrated to South Africa which has been his home ever since. Wolfgang is a chemical engineer with a PhD from the University of Natal in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal. He is a registered professional Engineer. His professional activity was divided between research orientated work in the renewable energy field utilising biomass as fuel source, and teaching at university level. He taught Project Management to engineering students for close on 25 years. His spiritual journey started soon after his family arrived in South Africa when, after listening to the preaching of Billy Graham, he accepted Jesus as God's Son who willingly submitted himself to be executed on a Roman cross, in obedience to his Father's will as the sacrificial Lamb which atoned for the sins of all humanity. Living by the BOOK was born out of a desire to share his belief in the eternal God with the world, and to put into words how much wisdom and understanding on the difficult questions of life can be gained from a careful reading of the book (the Bible) that many Christians believe was commissioned by God himself. After Wolfgang had written some chapters, he invited Sarie Snow and Derek Griffin, both active writers, who shared his love of the BOOK (Bible) to join him in completing the book.
