Kay loves traveling and exploring cities and cultures around the world. She's been writing little stories and poetry since childhood, but she's also owned a restaurant, sang in a musical, or advocated for families with special needs children or adoption.
After her youngest entered elementary school, Kay finished her college degree in English and earned her Masters in English. Teaching high school for the last 15 years has been rewarding while still trying to journal and write short stories on the side.
When not teaching high school, you can find her running, journaling, or at the library. She loves being surrounded by her grandchildren and reading them a book. Her children grown, she lives in Utah with her husband and their son, who has Down syndrome.
