Brooke Schedneck

Brooke Schedneck, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Rhodes College. She has been studying Buddhism since her undergraduate degree at Boston University, and Southeast Asia since beginning graduate school at Harvard Divinity School and Arizona State University in 2005. Brooke lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand, conducting research and teaching, from 2009-2017, and continues to travel extensively in the region. She has been invited to give research presentations in Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, North America, and Malaysia. Her work has been featured in The Conversation, Tricycle: The Buddhist Review, and over a dozen academic journals of Asian studies, Buddhist studies, and religious studies. She lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband and son.
