C. W. Clayton is a science fiction and fantasy author from northwest England. She published her first books while studying for a master’s degree in Environmental Science, and her love for unpicking the intricacies and complexities of natural systems shrines through in her carefully-crafted worlds. The Highmoor series is classic high fantasy, whereas the Starlit Ship series falls somewhere between fantasy and science fiction, set in the far future. When she isn’t writing, Clayton can be found hiking up mountains, collecting interesting rocks and talking to sheep.
