About the Author After years in the ophthalmic industry, Tresa was happy and content. Satisfied with her friends, her lifestyle, and the way she was showing up in the world, she had never dreamed of walking away and starting something new. Tresa felt confident that one day she would retire comfortably and was looking forward to enjoying her time with family and traveling the world. It wasn’t until one of her sons, after reviewing her retirement portfolio, pointed out the scary truth. After looking at the numbers, he showed her that she only had 7 years’ worth of money to live on, if she retired at 65 years of age. She couldn’t believe it – she had done all the “right” things; consistently putting money into her 401k, taking budgeted vacations, and living within her means. Tresa knew something had to change. Finding strength in the scripture verse Joshua 1:9, she made a decision that would greatly impact the rest of her life. At age 50, Tresa took a leap into a brand-new career. She joined her sons in business, immersing herself in the real estate investment industry. The journey came with massive personal growth, as she learned a new industry, but it also came with powerful emotions. Starting a new challenge at this stage of life, was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. Tresa quickly became a successful investor, and a trailblazing leader for all women ready to step out in courage. As a woman, in a male dominated industry, Tresa felt deeply called to build an environment where other woman could not only participate, but thrive, with their God-given gifts. Desiring an encouraging and uplifting place for woman, to be supported and celebrated, Tresa created the Women’s Real Estate Investors Network. Paving the way for women investors was not easy, but today, Tresa knows it was worth it. She now understands, this is where God was leading her all along. As she meets other woman exactly where they are, Tresa offers them an easy-to-understand real estate investment education, and an investment network, to help them succeed. Together, thousands of her students are becoming financially confident and creating multi-generational wealth for their families. Tresa is leaving her legacy, with the ripple effect, that the Women’s Real Estate Investment Network has made in each of these women's lives.
