Shmuel Oluwa is a financial consultant, Excel mentor and seasoned instructor in a number of related fields, with a passion for imparting knowledge he has acquired over the years. Shmuel's training outfit SMO Tutorials organises training in a range of topics including, inter alia, Excel - Basics to Intermediate Advanced Excel Financial Modeling Dashboards - with PowerPivot and Power Query Excel VBA IFRS He is also Nigeria Partner to a number of organizations with presence in several countries round the Globe, representing them in Financial Modeling and Excel training in several African countries. Shmuel has recently launched an Excel mentorship program featuring online interactive sessions aimed at the busy professional. He was born in London, United Kingdom but spent his early academic years in Corona School and St Gregory's College, both in Lagos. He then moved back to the United Kingdom to further his studies in Taunton School, Somerset and the University of Manchester. He was a keen sportsman, earning school colours in Athletics at Taunton School and winning the Victor Ludorum in Athletics in his final year there. He also competed in the British Universities Athletics Games and the Manchester Table Tennis League. Shmuel is married with a delightful daughter. He graduated from the Victoria University of Manchester with a BSc in Chemistry, but quickly moved into the field of finance. After working at Moret & Limperg and Arthur Young McClelland Moores and Co., both in the United Kingdom, He returned to Nigeria to join The firm of chartered accountants founded in 1966 by his late father, Mojibola Oluwa & Co. He has been involved in or organised training for: -FIRS - Criminal Investigation Department with participants from the EFCC, ICPC; -Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria -Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) -Ministry of Finance, Insurance Division -First City Monument Bank -Union Bank of Nigeria -Chapel Hill Denham -Dangote Flour Mills -Lafarge -MTN In 2019 Shmuel published Hands-On Financial Modeling with Microsoft Excel 2019. He is putting thee finishing touches to the second edition, Hands-On Financial Modeling with Excel for Microsoft 365 which is due to be published this summer (2022)
