Producer Troy Reed is known in the street culture as the “Godfather of Urban Gangster Stories.” His outstanding work on notorious crime figures captures the attention of Warner Bros. Studios who struck a deal with him to produce a series of documentaries. Reed’s films include a number of sit down conversations with some of America’s most notorious gangsters such as: Guy Fisher the first Black owner of the Apollo Theater, and one of the main members of the Leroy Nicky Barnes’ crew called “The Council”. Larry Davis Who was known to deal drugs for a group of police officers in the Bronx and after shooting six of them was acquitted; Rayful Edmonds who built the largest drug operation in Washington DC; former All - American basketball prodigy, Karlton Hines who fell victim to the allure of the streets; Shaka The son and member of the Preacher crew aKa “The Black Hand of Death”; and gangster drug kingpin Alpo Albert Martinez who turned government informant.
