The world of baking is daunting, there is no doubt about it. To an outsider it can feel like a secretive, elitist, sticky little cult. I know because I used to be an outsider. Using Instagram for inspiration, I would be left feeling like a talentless, clumsy failure, who also just happened to be the world's worst food photographer. That’s because Instagram rarely shows you the mistakes. But we’re all making them, all the time. So I vowed to be honest when it came to my baking - to celebrate the little mishaps and the epic disasters, to share my trials, errors and successes with you. And in doing this, I hope to convince even the most unlikely, inexperienced and nervous bakers to get stuck in and have a go. Because, really, what’s the worst that could happen?
