Alun Harris has a degree and PhD in Applied Physics and has published over 100 papers in physics/engineering. His interest in Aikido and Aikijujutsu started over 30 years ago when he read Tohei’s classic book “Aikido”. This life changing moment started a research project to understand the meaning of Aiki that has resulted in the publication of "Principle of Aiki and its Application in Aikido and Aikijujutsu", “Aiki Techniques in Aikido and Aikijujutsu” and Biomechanics of Aikido and Aikijujutsu.
