Caroline Root is a Scottish Gaelic teacher, artist, and gardener. She has as BA in Celtic Studies from St Francis Xavier University and a PGDE in Gaelic Medium Education (primary) from the University of Strathclyde. Caroline started Daily Gaelic in 2010 and has created her own Scottish Gaelic curriculum, including 6 textbooks and numerous learning materials and games. Art and writing have always been an essential part of Caroline’s life though it is only recently that she has begun to bring them fully into her professional life. The publication of her first book “Song For The Sun” fulfilled a life-long dream of writing and illustrating children’s books. Now that she has begun she can’t wait to bring more stories and art to a wider audience.
