“Behind every young child who believes in himself is a parent who believed first...” – Matthew L. Jacobson

Jane T. Colvin is an author with an associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio. She currently works as a technician at a manufacturing plant and has just recently published her debut book.

Children Who Talk Late is something that has been written to help parents who are struggling to communicate with their toddlers. It examines the causes of delayed speech and the often complex issues that surround toddlers who are late talkers.

Within the book, parents are able to learn different techniques that will help their children through this immensely difficult and frustrating period in their lives, while providing support and acceptance, and leading a normal life without making the child feel as if they must be fixed.

In her free time, Jane enjoys reading, visiting metro parks, going to the movies and spending time with her family. Her interest in helping those who are struggling with mental disorders stems from her own experiences with close family members who have suffered from developmental delays, often due to drug use.

Jane’s greatest desire is that her book will provide some much needed relief to parents and show them that there are ways to solve any problem they encounter, while building a strong bond between them and their child.
