关于作者

Gail Post, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, writer, and consultant. In clinical practice for over three decades, she provides psychotherapy, workshops, and parent consultations with a focus on the needs of the intellectually and musically gifted. She is also an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Gail has a long-standing blog, Gifted Challenges, and has written hundreds of blog posts and articles about giftedness for newsletter and online publications, along with several book chapters. Her interest in giftedness was sparked through interactions with clients in her psychotherapy practice, her work as co-chair of a gifted parents’ advocacy group, and her personal experience raising two gifted children, now young adults. Gail is passionate about advocating for the needs of gifted children, dispelling the pervasive misconceptions and stereotypes about giftedness, and supporting families in their parenting efforts. In her book, The Gifted Parenting Journey: A Guide to Self-discovery and Support for Families of Gifted Children, Gail combines her experience as a psychologist, parent, and advocate for change, and offers supportive tools to help parents of gifted children and teens achieve greater self-awareness, confidence, and clarity. Gail lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband and several pets.
